MainOne concludes ‘Bright Minds’ Trainee Program with 36 Graduates joining the Company

MainOne is playing an active role in providing skills development and employment for Nigerian youths with the successful completion of the second batch of its Bright Minds Graduate Trainee Programme.

The 3-month intensive training session was designed to groom recent Nigerian engineering graduates for highly skilled professional jobs by taking them through critical technical training programs in Networking, Data Center Technology and Cloud Computing, as well as personal effectiveness skills they need to survive in MainOne’s highly demanding  work place before their recruitment into the company. The program combined classroom style learning with practical sessions facilitated by seasoned external consultants and specialists within MainOne to help the trainees understand the company’s core functions which include Connectivity, Data Center and Managed Cloud Services. The program culminated in a 5-week certifications training to provide the trainees with specialized training to obtain various industry certifications required for their intended  roles within the company.

The company received over 2,600 applications which eventually resulted in 36 hires after a highly competitive screening and selection program. A particular focus was placed on women hires and we were successful in having six (6) women successfully complete the program. Celebrating the success of the program at a ceremony held in honor of the 36 graduates, the Head, Corporate Services, MainOne, Tinuola Ipadeola congratulated the recruits on their dedication and completion of the programme while urging them not to relent on their efforts as they strive for excellence in their new roles.
